One thing I look for when dining in any restaurant is a comfortable seat and this restaurant certainly has that. The plush red  velvet booths are super comfy and the privacy of the booth creates an intimate seating experience.

The walls are covered in mirror detail and famous framed faces of the patrons who have dined in the restaurant over the past 60 years. The decor is classy and oozes character, it’s warm, comfortable and cosy with a buzzing atmosphere – it reminded me of Dublin’s Olympia Theatre.

The moms enjoying their grub.

Maitre d’ Robert Doggett sat down and chatted with the mammies about whiskey and Guinness and made sure everyone was enjoying their experience in the restaurant.

The beautifully presented food is equally as impressive as the beautiful Georgian surroundings. The menu is small but very appetising. There was something to satisfy everyone.

The bread served with the starters disappeared rapidly, it was fresh and delicious. The lobster was cooked perfectly, however I would have preferred if it was paired with mashed potatoes rather than boiled, but that’s just a personal preference and I’m sure If I had asked, I would have been catered to.

The sticky toffee pudding dessert portion was small but absolutely mouth-watering and when I had finished every last bit, I felt satisfied – I honestly couldn’t have eaten any more. I felt the deserts in general were a little pricey at €8.50 but delicious all the same.

The service was fantastic, our waiter was very attentive and friendly. I’ll definitely be dining here again and the mammies loved it!
